What's that all about ?
Well, I got a battered old German dictionary the other day, and there was something extra about it ....something that none of my other dictionaries do ...
And it is, in my opinion, a good something extra .... see if you can spot it on these sample pages ...
Don't worry if not ... I'll tell you after the music spot.
Plus, the irregular verb table at the back goes the extra mile by putting in more that the usual stuff .... so the first one, backen, goes ...

So that's all good ..... and as an added bonus, there's an odd thing at the start ...
the book was given as a prize for some unknown pupil of Edge End High School back in November 1975 by an illegible headmaster called, I think, Hvuud .
But the odd thing is, the lucky recipient got it for Environmental Studies.
Surely a book about butterflies or woodlice or fungi would have been more
appropriate ... but who are we to judge ?
For Blizzard we get Der Schneesturm .
And not just the measly Schneesturm, m
I think that's a good thing.
We're more likely to remember that it is masculine.
