Further stuff from me ...
[1] I've written about speaking in German when you're walking around the shops etc .... as she suggests ... but that can seem a bit odd to passers-by .. so what I do is, I talk into my dinky mobile phone ... and nobody bats an eyelid ! It doesn't even need to be switched on.
[2] You should also talk in German to yourself .. describing what the cat is doing, or what the weather's doing outside, or commenting about the sitcom you're watching ... it all keeps you using the German you've got.
[3] There's German versions of lots of silly and entertaining cartoons etc ....so by using them you're having fun while learning a language ( or anything else for that matter) and having fun while learning is very important. There's an endless supply of that sort of thing.
[4] I love that idea of getting a monolingual German-German dictionary !
The words are in German... and the definitions are in German too.
As soon as I've finished writing this I'm going to find one on Amazon !
Why have I never seen one ? Grrrr !! *
[5] I recommend PLAYS and FILMS ..... it's almost all speech, which is good.
It's a sort of longer version of what part 3 recommends.
You can carry plays around and read them anywhere .... and you can watch them on youtube. ...you can tape them when they're on the TV..... occasionally.
Here's one of them for a start ...

OK ... here's some examples of German songs that you can learn and sing.
Just the sort of thing that us learners need ..
